Map yourself!
One thing I love is being able to see where all my readers are from. So if you go to this map and put a marker where you live, then we can see how close we are to each other… or how far across the globe we’re all spread!
Here’s how it works…
1. When you’ve opened the map page, use the plus symbol to zoom in. (You’ll have to drag the map with your mouse so that you’re zooming in on the right area) Keep zooming… keep zooming… until you see your town. Note: you can’t double-click to zoom, or you’ll end up putting your marker in the middle of the Atlantic ocean!
2. When you’ve found your town, click on the map where you want to place your marker, and a window will pop up. If you clicked by mistake before this, just hit the ‘x’ in the top right of the marker window to return to the map.
3. Fill in your name (doesn’t have to be your real name), type in a message (it can be as short as ‘hi’), pickthe colour you want your icon to be, and then click ‘Place’. Now you’ll see yourself on the map!
4. And in case you put the marker in the wrong place or want to change your message… you have one hour to make changes to your entry.
Can’t wait to see you all… let’s see if you can find me on the map!
