What’s the difference between the news page and the blog? This page has selected highlights about Jody’s books only, while the blog page chats about anything that comes along (although it’s usually writing-related!)
SWITCHING blog tour
Wow, it’s been a while since I posted any news! That’s what happens when I get really busy. So, SWITCHING is finally going off on its blog tour. Here are the dates:
The June 18th post will feature an interview with me, with some cool tidbits about where the idea for Switching came from!
The Frankincense Trail
Jody’s latest book, and first chapter book, is now available for Kindle. The book, for ages 6-9, will be available on other e-tailers and as a paperback in 2012. You can read a preview, or buy the book on Amazon.
Frankincense Trail website
The Frankincense Trail now has its own website! You can read more about the history behind the book, learn about the frankincense trade, see photos of locations in the story, and read interviews with the author.
Paperback release, and Book Extras
White Witch Pond will be available in paperback in September 2011. To promote its release, the book will be going on a blog tour in October (more details to follow). To tie in with the release, there are now some book extras up for White Witch pond: photos of the real pond that that the story is based on, as well as some of the characters.
New Release – Young Adult Historical Fiction
Jody’s latest novel, The Frankincense Trail, is being released in both e-book format and paperback! The book is now available on Amazon.com and iTunes, and will soon be available on more e-tailer sites.
Interview and Review – White Witch Pond
Jody has made three of her books available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Smashwords: The Goob Factor, White Witch Pond, and The Girl Across the Water. You can download the first chapter of each for free from any of these sites. (And if you don’t own a Kindle, you can download a free E-book reader app for your PC or iPhone.)
Jody has been working on an editing project. Vernon Jackman’s book ‘Bunnies and Butterflies in the Backyard, and The Pirates Who Know Where They Live’ helps to teach young children their address and phone number. The book is now available on Amazon.com in hard copy or Kindle edition. You can visit the New Kid Safety website here.
Jody has an article about Rupert Bear in the April/May issue of Crikey! magazine (available in the UK), and a tribute to author Peter O’Donnell, who passed away in May 2010 at age 90, in the June issue.
Jody has some articles in Crikey! magazine: Nov/Dec 2009 (My Comicy Christmas), Jan/Feb 2010 (Tank Girl), Mar/April 2010 (Rupert Bear), and June 2010 (Peter O’Donnell). Some interviews Jody has done with artists and publishers are also featured on the Crikey! website.
